Arrival in Petrozavodsk by morning train from St.Petersburg or Moscow. Meet the local English-speaking guide at the train station. Breakfast on own. Departure for the island of Kizhi by hovercraft. Visit to the open-air Museum of Wooden Architecture Kizhi - Churches of the Transfiguration, Intercession, chapels and traditional wooden houses. Lunch (provided as a packed meal). Return to Petrozavodsk by the evening. Accommodation. Overnight at the hotel. (L, optional B & D)
Day 2. Petrozavodsk and Kivach.
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Meet the guide. Tour by car or minibus to observe the waterfall "Kivach", covered with snow and a visit to the museum of local nature (~4 hours). Return to Petrozavodsk. Free time. Transfer to the train station. Departure by train to Moscow (at ~19:00) or St.Petersburg (at ~23:00).
